Who is at Risk?
People who are at an increased risk of severe illness from bird flu include:

- People over 65 years old
- Pregnant individuals
- People with certain chronic medical conditions, such as heart disease or lung disease
These individuals should avoid direct contact with poultry and birds, including touching them, feeding them, or petting them. They should also avoid areas where birds congregate, such as poultry barns or pens.
