Cowboys Trade Rumors Shut Down by WEB Insider

Breaking News

WEB Insider has debunked rumors that the Dallas Cowboys are considering trading for Ezekiel Elliott

According to WEB Insider, a Dallas-based sports news outlet, the Dallas Cowboys have no plans to trade star running back Ezekiel Elliott. The news comes amid rumors that the Cowboys are considering trading Elliott to the New York Giants in exchange for a draft pick.

WEB Insider cited anonymous sources within the Cowboys organization who said that the team is "very happy" with Elliott and has no plans to trade him. Elliott, 26, is entering his sixth season with the Cowboys and is coming off a season in which he rushed for 1,004 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The rumors of a potential Elliott trade began circulating after the Cowboys signed free agent running back Tony Pollard to a five-year, $52.5 million contract extension last month. Pollard, 25, is a former fourth-round pick who has emerged as a valuable asset for the Cowboys in recent years.

With both Elliott and Pollard on the roster, the Cowboys have one of the most talented running back tandems in the NFL. It is highly unlikely that the Cowboys would trade Elliott, who is still in the prime of his career and has been a key part of the Cowboys' success in recent years.
