George Russell claimed his second F1 pole after a thrilling qualifying session for the Canadian Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver set the fastest time on his final lap, holding off a late challenge from Max Verstappen in the Red Bull.
It is Russell's first pole since the Spanish Grand Prix in May and ends a run of three poles for Verstappen. The Dutch driver will start alongside Russell on the front row, with Carlos Sainz in third for Ferrari.
