2022 Mens College World Series Finals Get Underway
Ole Miss Stuns Oklahoma in Game 1
The 2022 Mens College World Series finals kicked off Saturday with Ole Miss bursting on the scene defeating Oklahoma 10-3. The Rebels jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, pounding out 14 hits and taking advantage of three Oklahoma errors.
Rebels Make Statement in Series Opener
Ole Miss's victory was a statement to the rest of the field that they are a force to be reckoned with. The Rebels have now won three straight games in the tournament and have yet to allow an earned run.
Oklahoma, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly if they want to stay alive in the series. The Sooners have now lost two straight games and will need to find a way to generate some offense against Ole Miss's stingy pitching staff.
Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Sunday night at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska.
